This 3-day workshop-based learning is intended for people who wish to gain a thorough grasp of project planning and control techniques in any business or sector. This course will cover how to create precise plans, timelines, and budgets for very complex projects, as well as how to use these plans to keep projects on track. This course does not require a degree; simply apply if you have relevant work experience and need to develop new skill sets in project planning and project controls
Participants will cover the vital tools and techniques successful project managers use to control cost, schedule and performance. Participants will explore new and effective ways collect, manage and analyse data for large and mega-scale projects, spot trends in data and report on project progress. This course is a hands-on practical course which is loaded with lots of scenario-based learning workshops.
In order to fully realize the objectives of this course, attendees would at least have a reasonable understanding of basic data manipulation and graphical display tools and techniques commonly used in MS Excel environment. A basic grasp of mining and mineral industry terminology would be great but not essential.
