This is a 2-day crash course specifically put together for geologists, surveyors, engineers, metallurgist, mine laboratory personnel, drilling professionals, geological technicians and all those involved in the general workflow of drilling activities. This course has been intentionally designed for anyone who wants to understand or seeks further knowledge about the full spectrum of activities involved in drilling and sampling activities within the mining industry.
Understand the essence of drilling and learn how to drill for sustainable development. Be equipped with basic tools from budgeting, contractual agreements and the technical knowledge required to successfully plan and execute any drilling program from exploration to mining. Acquire current best sampling practices, managing the chain of custody of drilled samples and some other useful collaborative tools that can be employed by the geology and drilling teams on site.
In order to fully realize the objectives of this course, attendees would at least have a reasonable understanding of basic data manipulation and graphical display tools and techniques commonly used in MS Excel environment. A basic grasp of mining and mineral industry terminology would be great but not essential.
